This is a project that I’m really excited about. Michelle Stuart has written a very charming ABC book about a hippo who is packing her bags for a trip. Not only does it rhyme, but it uses alliteration, so each object matches the letter for each page.
What you see here are some of the early concept sketches for Helena the Hippo (at the time I didn't even know if the Hippo would be male or female). As we finalize changes and get closer to the deadline, I’ll be posting some of the finished work. Enjoy the sketches and keep your eyes out for updates!
